Hello, creators!
We are excited to invite you to a vibrant meeting full of inspiration. This time, our international guest comes from Japan and will show us how art can be beautifully intertwined with technology: Natsuka, the Tech Ukiyo-e Creative Lady.
Her motto, “Useless is beautiful”, reflects her unique way of transforming seemingly non-functional materials into captivating works of art. She studied design at university, explored digital fabrication at Fab Academy, and worked as technical staff at her university’s makerspace in Tokyo.
Currently based in Germany, Natsuka brings her creative journey to us, and we are truly honored to welcome her as our guest!

Natsuka is Japanese creator who hosts a Tech Ukiyo-e workshop to make Japanese wood block printing by using modern technology such as the laser cutter. Her question is to think about the combination of tradition and technology. She believes that in a world where productivity, efficiency, and speed are valued, there are times when meaningless existences can be comforting and soothing to the soul.
